Short Mat Bowls

Experience has shown that Short Mat Bowling can be highly beneficial for clients with hand–eye coordination and balance challenges following brain trauma. It’s easy to learn and always brings out a friendly competitive spirit!

All new clients receive a hand–eye and physical coordination check with our coach, who then creates a personalised plan to help them bowl comfortably, whatever their abilities. Coaching continues until each client feels confident enough to join the group.

Our main goal is to ensure everyone enjoys the sessions and feels encouraged to take part. Clients are welcome to take breaks whenever needed — one of our helpers will happily step in until they’re ready to return.

If you’d like to join the Short Mat Bowls Group, please contact:
Bill Vass – 07759 911253
Nicola Uphill – 07957 187790

The group meets every Tuesday afternoon at All Saints Church Hall, Hillingdon, from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm.
Sessions cost £5 (your first session is free for new clients) and include tea and biscuits midway through. Carers are always welcome.

Please note: to protect the mats, all bowlers must wear clean, flat-soled shoes.
